Once there were a man and a woman who went for a walk by the Bay in Foster City. Neither of them was looking for love. Yet they ended up finding love in each other. They spent their days and nights together and didn't want to leave each other's side. They moved to Copenhagen and built a home with two cats, two kids and four white boards. They play Dungeons and Dragons with their family, get their asses kicked by the kids at Wing Chun and tango only with each other. They crack each other up with their jokes and share many dreams and interests. And they talk through things until they have found understanding. No matter which route must be taken to find it. They got engaged unexpectedly over beer and fried chicken in their favorite brewery. They were not looking for love. But every day they can't believe that they found it.

Wedding theme: Epic things we like

"Why can't they just have a normal wedding?"

Normal is a difficult concept, when we are juggling four different cultures. The bride is Russian from Ukraine, grew up in Texas, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland. Wedding-wise the groom identifies as American. No fights were had about wedding traditions. None whatsoever.

After the absolutely zero fighting, we landed on doing the things that make us happy. The things that make us happy are over-the-top, epic, joyous and sometimes outrageous. Incidentally, both our favorite colours are fuchsia and cyan. So they are of course the wedding colours. They aren't baby shower colors. Shut up.
