On this page we have compiled our favorite things to do in Copenhagen. The first part is our recommendations for things you can do on your own. Futher down the page you will find events we intend to host leading up to the wedding. The last part is still a work in progress, so check out this page once in a while.
Food in Copenhagen is amazing and almost anywhere you go will be a worthwhile experience. You do not typically tip in Denmark.
Lille Bakery is a small artisan bakery with amazing coffee and bread.
The laundromat is an amazing brunch place. They also have laundromats.
Wulf & Konstali is a brunch restaurant where you can mix your own brunch. They are a chain, so you find them throughout the city.
Basically any bakery you go to is going to be out-of-this world.
Boulebar is a pentaque (bocce ball) bar that has a great brunch too.
Kanalhuset is our favorite place for open-face sandwiches (smørrebrød). You would never find this place on your own and will be confused once you get there. Follow the signs and trust the process - these are the best, most honest sandwiches in town.
Copenhagen Street Food also called Reffen is a food bazaar on the island of Refshaleøen. You will find a booth with almost all cuisine you can imagine on the street food island and drinks of any sort. From about 10pm the island turns into one big party with DJs and people swimming in the harbour and dancing. You can take the harbour bus there, which takes the Rejsekort app like all other public transport in Denmark. You can also take the bus or walk there.
Yami running sushi in Hellerup is a great place to have all-you-can-eat good quality sushi from a conveyor belt. Almost all sushi restaurants in Copenhagen are all-you-can-eat, but we especially like this one. Book a table on their website.
Maven is a restaurant in an old church that has amazing wine and food right in central Copenhagen.
Tavola Calda is a small Italian restaurant with a set menu in Hellerup. It is a tiny gem and always blows our socks off. Book in advance, they tend to be full.
Carne Famo is another Italian restaurant we love, and we have an ongoing argument whether Tavola Calda is best or Carne Famo. Try both of them and help us settle the score.
Gamma NV is our favorite brewery pub. This is where we got engaged and where we go for beer. Ivanna had her book launch party here.
Omada Wine & Deli is our favorite after-tango-wine spot. They have snacks and light meals too. It's like sitting in someone's living room. That someone is a hipster dude who loves only the best wine and charcuterie.
Absalon is many things, but also a party venue. Here you will find silent discoes, drag nights and electro-parties. And very reasonable drinks prices.
HUSET contains a table-game cafe called Bastard, and a full event program. Check it out.
Southern Cross is the place to watch Rugby.
RUST is the place to go if you wish to party. Check out their program.
Copenhill is a trash processing plant that is also a ski slope and park. It is worth a climb!
Copenhagen Distillery makes the third best whiskey in the world. It offers tours and has a bar. Do their whiskey tasting! It is unforgettable. Also, prepare to take a taxi home and keep Ivanna from ordering beyond three drinks.
Amager Beach Park is a great place to go sea kayaking or any other water sport. Copenhagen is surrounded by beaches though, so you can find water anywhere.
The people's sauna at Christiania is an authentic experience of how people live in the free city of Christiania.
Little Siberia is a sauna/ hot tub/ cold plunge experience
GoBoat allows you to be the captain of your own boat in Copenhagen's canals. It's neat.
Go to Sweden. It is just on the other side of the water and a 30 mins ride by train. The closest town is called Malmø.

Inconspicious Comedy is a theatre that offers improv, stand-up and sketch comedy. We love it.
ICC is an improv theatre that is down-town.
Bobushka is a venue that has stand-up and also balkan-electro-pop concerts. It's weird. We love it.
No stress bar has stand-up and drag, and burlesque and all other stuff. It is also just a bar.
Probably on Thursday the 13th of August we will be hosting a lego-flower assembly party at our appartment.
